What is Reiki?

Reiki is an energy healing technique that promotes the natural healing of the heart, mind and body, to create greater coherence. The word reiki means spiritual life force energy. The Reiki System was founded and organized by Mikao Usui, a Buddhist monk, in Japan in the early 1920’s.

Every living thing has an energy make up, a specific frequency in which it vibrates. When the flow of energy is unrestricted, the body harmonizes the flow to optimize body functioning. The spiritual life force (reiki energy) acts as a catalyst and reorganizes chaotic, stagnant, congested, or devitalized areas into greater well-being, harmony and balance.

How does it work?

You lie down (option to be on a chair) with an open and receptive mind. I then scan your body with my hands hovering above. You have the option to ask for a hands-off treatment. What’s most important is for you to be comfortable. You may choose to set an intention for your session and I’ll offer reiki blessings to promote integration and manifestation. I proceed with giving reiki, following techniques and protocol (this includes following meridian pathways), as well as letting my hands intuitively guide me (I receive reiki through clairsentient, clairvoyant and clairaudient channels).

During treatment, you might feel heat in parts of your body, and sometimes even tingling at the tip of your fingers, toes or face. This is normal, it’s just energy moving through you and getting released. It eases within minutes.

Remote healing works much the same. The treatment is hands-off and can be done thousand of miles away, and is incredibly just as powerful as in-person treatment, as you can read in the Testimonial section below.
